Electric Castle 2026 — Twenty One Pilots and The Cure are coming next year to Romania

Electric Castle 2026 promises a memorable edition, with two legendary names confirmed: British band The Cure — returning to Romania after their 2019 concert at Piața Constituției — and the American duo Twenty One Pilots

The festival will take place between July 16 and 19, at the Bánffy Castle in Bonțida, Cluj, and promises the characteristic combo of live music, art, and interactive experiences.

The Cure: the return of a legend

The British band The Cure, known for hits like “Just Like Heaven” and “Lullaby,” comes back to Romania after a seven-year break. Their last appearance was in 2019, in Bucharest’s Piața Constituției.

In 2026, The Cure promises a memorable show at Electric Castle, continuing their tradition of delivering a unique mix of post-punk and new wave music.

Twenty One Pilots: energy and vibe

The American duo Twenty One Pilots — composed of Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun — have won the hearts of fans with albums like “Blurryface” and “Trench.” Known for their overflowing energy and for integrating strong visual elements into their performances, the band will add a dynamic spark to Electric Castle 2026.

One of their most remarkable moments was when they performed a mash-up of their song “Heathens” with the theme song from the series Stranger Things at Electric Castle. That performance was praised by fans and even by the official Stranger Things account on Twitter, which commented: “This rendition would save me from Vecna any day of the week.”

Tickets for Electric Castle 2026 are already available as “early bird” on electriccastle.ro.

To ensure a full experience, the festival offers accommodation in a specially arranged camping area, as well as organized transport from Cluj-Napoca.

Besides the already confirmed headliners, Electric Castle 2026 promises a diversified selection of artists from various musical genres — including electronic, rock, indie and hip-hop. With a unique mix of music, art and technology, the festival continues to be a landmark on the European cultural scene.
